Gritting her teeth, Sadie thought to herself that he had been intoxicated last night. So, whether anything truly happened was something she could maneuver as she pleased.
Casually twirling a lock of her hair around her finger, she remarked, “You were quite rough last night… I’m feeling a bit sore down there this morning.”
Holden remained silent, evading her attempts. He ignored her suggestive remarks and smoothly sidestepped her physical advances.
After giving him one last sulky glance, Sadie stormed out of the room.
Holden’s expression remained unreadable as he watched her leave.
